The northern Adirondack Mountains and St. Lawrence River Valley area in New York State are home and source of most subjects in Suzanne's drawings, photographs, and watercolors.
Her personal work is contemplative, offering visual stillness and a portal of discovery where we are universally one with nature.
Influenced very early by her teacher and life-long friend, AWS watercolor artist Robert Plumb, she continues to appreciate and share the unique visual qualities of the North Country in her work.
She earned a B.S. in art education from Buffalo State and an M.F.A. in graphic design and painting from Rochester Institute of Technology. She travelled and studied in Italy and enjoys returning to Florence and Siena.
As Coordinator of Publications at the State University of New York at Potsdam, she produced primarily Admissions and Development publications and often incorporated her watercolor and pencil illustrations. She was awarded the highest honors in her position --The President's Award for Excellence in Professional Service from SUNY Potsdam and, The Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Professional Service from the State University of New York.
